The Red Dirt Cup proves to be a thriller! A packed house of fans got their money's worth until the very last lap on a beautiful spring afternoon! The Western Outlaw Pure Stock Series and the Sooner Limited Modified Series were added to the Red Dirt Cup event after losing the second day of the Spring Nationals to rain last Sunday and it made for a busy pit area as they joined the Sooner Late Model Series, Turf Tire Micros, and the Ameriflex Hose & Accessories Oil Capital Racing Series Sprint Cars.

Mark Smith doubled up on Pure Stock action after winning last Saturdays(Spring Nationals) Feature as well. The win was worth $550 plus a $100 bonus for winning both features! Brad Costello, Christopher Wilhite, Justin McBride, and Ben Lewis rounded out the top five.

Matt Pagel topped the very competitive Turf Tire Micro action over Bobby Chapa, David Jacobs, Blake Kirkes, and Mickey Pearson.

Robert Elliott led all 25 laps of the Sooner Limited Modified Series feature to take home the $1000 winners loot PLUS a $1000 bonus for winning Night 1 of the Spring Nationals last Saturday! Elliott used the low line to perfection as he held of challenges on the high side by 2nd place finisher Hesston Shaw, 4th place finisher Jeffery Kaup, and the fifth place car of Jared Baird. Shawn Jorski ran in the top five for most of the race and was able to sneak up to the third position in the final laps to round out the podium!

Kip Hughes had his Sooner Late Model Series Late Model on a rail as he handily won the Main Event! Kip was followed to the line by Kyle Sweeney, Damian Patockha, Bobby McGehee, and Steve Hawkins.

The Oil Capital Racing Series main event was fast paced and packed with action! Wayne Johnson paced the field for the first 25 laps but Zach Chappell kept within striking distance the entire time! Chappell eventually saw an opportunity and slid Johnson through turns 3/4 resulting in slight contact! Chappell then led the next 4 laps but a tangle with a lapped car exiting turn two on the final lap caused him to spin...Chappell was able to gather the car up and find himself in third position behind Johnson and Layne Himebaugh. Chappell was able to get back by Himebaugh through turns 3/4 to finish in the second position behind Johnson. Himebaugh rounded out the top three while Danny Smith and Andrew Deal finished P4 and P5!
