Lucas Oil NOW600 Series Returning to Red Dirt Raceway for Spring Nationals

Inside Line Promotions – DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (March 4, 2019) – Mother Nature is tied for the lead in Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Tel-Star Technologies features claimed this season after wiping out last weekend’s doubleheader.

The temperature is expected to warm up later this week as the series ventures to Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker, Okla., for the 2nd annual Spring Nationals on Saturday and Sunday. The three primary divisions – Stock Non-Wing, Winged ‘A’ Class and Restricted ‘A’ Class – will be in action both nights.

Frank Flud swept the Winged ‘A’ Class doubleheader to start the season last month when he also split the Stock Non-Wing features with Anton Hernandez. Meanwhile, Ryan Timms won both rounds in the Restricted ‘A’ Class division.

Shawn Mahaffey was the only multiple race winner during NOW600 Series competition at Red Dirt Raceway last year. He picked up a pair of Restricted ‘A’ Class victories with Ryder Laplante also winning a race in the division. Hank Davis, Daison Pursley and Daniel Shaffer were the Stock Non-Wing feature winners. Riley Goodno, Jim Woods and Joey Starnes each captured a Winged ‘A’ Class triumph.

Tickets for this weekend’s action are $15 each night with high school students and younger entering free. Pit passes are $30 per person each night.

The gates will open at noon both days with the NOW600 Series pill draw running from 1:15 p.m. until the drivers meeting at 2:30 p.m. Hot laps is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. with racing to follow.
