Flud, Hollan and Mercer Reach Victory Lane During Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Series Debut at Red Dirt Raceway

Inside Line Promotions – MEEKER, Okla. (June 2, 2017) – Frank Flud, Holley Hollan and Grady Mercer each scored a feature victory on Friday during the first-ever Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Micro Series presented by MyRacePass event at Red Dirt Raceway.

Flud recorded his series-leading 13th career Stock Non-Wing main event win while Hollan (Winged ‘A’ Class) and Mercer (Restricted ‘A’ Class) each registered their first career series triumph during Round 5 of Sooner 600 Week, which is co-sanctioned with the Driven Midwest NOW600 Sooner Region.

Flud maneuvered from third to capture his seventh Stock Non-Wing victory of the season as Chris Cochran finished in the runner-up position. Brandon Anderson ended third with Matt Ward fourth and Hollan fifth after starting 14th.

Flud and Cochran were the heat race winners.

Hollan outlasted Flud to garner the Winged ‘A’ Class triumph as Jim Woods rounded out the podium. Chase Randall advanced from ninth to fourth place and Anderson placed fifth.

Woods and Jason McDougal both recorded a heat race victory.

Mercer held off Randall, who started seventh, to become the fifth different Restricted ‘A’ Class winner this season. Daison Pursley, who won the first three Sooner 600 Week main events, rallied from eighth to third place with Jarret Hjorth fourth and Dylan Pendergrass fifth.

Aimery Turner and Mercer both claimed heat race wins.

Sooner 600 Week wraps up on Saturday at I-44 Riverside Speedway in Oklahoma City, Okla., which hosted the first two rounds last weekend. The front gates open at 3 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. The drivers meeting is at 5 p.m. The series will hold the draw directly after the drivers meeting and it will close after the last driver present at the meeting has drawn in. If any driver is running late he or she should call Series Director Terry Mattox at 918-417-0624.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and military members, $5 for teenagers, $3 for children ages 6 to 12 and free for children ages 5 and younger.
