Last Friday night was a show that no one will forget, 25 drivers battled it out for the Fallen Hero 50. Robert Elliott won the pole but decided to start from the back so he can double his earnings if he takes the win. That moved 3rd place started Hesston Shaw to the front, right on the inside of Jared Baird. It was a great start with side by side action between Shaw, Reid and Baird, but the B4 car was on the move. Also you couldn't count Elliott out while he passes 10 cars right on the start,...more

I found out that he has been in the racing game now for 16 yrs., which means he was punchin the loud pedal at the young age of 5. Since breakfast is supposed to be the most important meal of the day, I asked him what his beverage of choice to get his day going was and he told me it was Monster Energy Drinks...more

The POWRi West series fired back into action at the ¼ mile track of Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker, OK for the third round of action in the 2018 season. Red dirt is an understatement for this fun and fast track in the middle of Oklahoma. Hunter Fischer Racing, sponsored by Flying Tee Golf and B&C Custom Woodworks, entered into a field of 24 cars for the night’s competition and started 5th in his heat race. The track already began to slick off for the midgets, firing up after the stock cars and...more

By Lonnie Wheatley (Meeker, OK) -- According to the lap sheets, Ace McCarthy led all 25 laps of Friday night’s Lucas Oil POWRi West Midget League presented by Executive Concrete NWA feature event atop the ¼-mile Red Dirt Raceway clay oval. However, it wasn’t without a genuine Friday the 13th scare for the Tahlequah, OK, racer in the “Midget Meltdown 2k18” event as he withstood a wicked Blake Hahn slider on the final lap to secure his second career series victory aboard the Two-Eight Drilling...more
